Origami Christmas Stars
I present you another model designed by Masha Athanasiadi and folded by me: Festival Kusudama. I find it similar with the Sonobe variation designed by Paolo Bascetta. Also there the design looks like paper strips that are interlocked. The Sonobe plays only with the front of the paper, while the Festival model displays both the front and the back and if you have duo-paper the effect is just amazing. The only drawback here is that the paper has a rectangular form, in the 2:3 proportion and you can't use the regular origami paper squares to fold this.
I accesorized with the traditional modular origami model, the Christmas Tree and with a couple of stars made from pentagons.
