O primavara incepe cu un martisor

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring. In Romania, we celebrate it by giving "Martisoare" to women and children. I think this is one of the most precious customs we have. A small token of affection, having a red & white thread attached, will bring a big smile even on a frowny face, especially on a Monday morning. The token is even more appreciated when it is handmade. 

Origami is not a traditional Romanian art, but paper is handy when you want to make little animals or flowers as "Martisoare". Not everyone has a wood shop at home nor an AliExpress account.
