Origami photo shoot - Ant Lion's Nest

Romanian traditions meeting Japanese traditions: when you are on holiday and you take your paper with you to fold some modules it might happen that you also want to assemble the origami model, because you just found the perfect spot to take pictures...

I added to my post also a photo-diagram for making one module of this model: Ant Lion's Nest (or in Japanesse Ari Jigoku Kaaru), designed by Silvana Betti Mamino. The module can be used as it is in the photo, or you can curl the small triangles from the margins. I like to curl the paper - it has a wave-like finishing. You can assemble the modules in the 3-5 classic kusudama combination (using 30 modules) or you can dare to go to 90 or 270 (this was the maximum for me).  You can see more examples on my blog.

Happy folding!
